drive stream
drive stream is a private video hosting and streaming tool. It lets the administrator of this website connect their own Google Drive accounts, upload their own video files to those accounts, and play the videos back on their own websites through an embeddable video player.
What drive stream does
- Connect Google Drive: the administrator signs in with Google and grants drive stream access to their Google Drive.
- Store videos: uploaded videos are processed into streaming segments and saved in a folder in the administrator's own Google Drive.
- Stream videos: drive stream reads those files back from Google Drive and delivers them to an embedded video player on websites the administrator has approved.
- Manage storage: when the administrator deletes a video, drive stream deletes the related files it created in Google Drive.
Why drive stream requests Google Drive access
drive stream requests only the limited Google Drive scope (https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file) together with
your basic Google account email address. This scope gives drive stream access only to the files and folders
that drive stream itself creates; it cannot see, read or change any other file in your Google Drive. Drive access
is used only to create, upload, read, share for playback, and delete those video files and folders. Your email address is used only
to identify which connected Google account a video is stored in.
drive stream does not sell your data, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to train AI models. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Who can use drive stream
drive stream is operated for the website owner and their authorized administrators. Information about the app is available publicly on this page; only management features require an administrator login.
